Double Digits Today

Double Digits Today Originally uploaded by EclipseAu Today is the day that JP joins the double digit club. Hey baby, Happy Birthday Lots of love Mum and Dad

Back to School

Back to School Originally uploaded by EclipseAu We have just dropped the kids off at school. It was bedlam as usual but the girls seemed to be in high spirits. The day started off in the usual way, having to tell the girls multiple times to do all they needed to do. For the life of us we can't see to keep them focussed on the task at hand. I'm sure we must speak a foreign language sometimes.... Some translations from the Smythville house: Eat your breakfast = go downstairs an terrorise the cat. Brush your hair = turn the telly on and ignore us Get dressed = find a toy and play with it then try and sneak it to school in my bag without Mum/Dad's knowledge. Have a shower = lock the cat in the toilet with me so I can terrorise him with no chance of escape. The list is endless and I could go on but for everyone's sanity I'll stop here. Have fun!

Such a little Miss

Such a little Miss Originally uploaded by EclipseAu Every time we go anywhere now, CB has to have her handbag with her. It must be genetically programmed into young girls to need a container to carry items around that may never be needed.

Day Trip to Nana's - :) - 25 Jan 2009

25 Jan 08 Collage Originally uploaded by EclipseAu Today, we went to Mum's place for a visit. It was a very warm day, so most of us ended up in the pool. Aunty A spent a lot of time helping CB with her water confidence. By the end of the day she was even opening her eyes under water, which she would never do before. We had a barbecue for lunch (no Ashley, we didn't eat the BBQ. You fool, you fool.) and the received a visit from MAD (Temporarily to be known as MAP, as D is now P for Pinky on account of the pretty pink cast on his broken leg). We ended the day with a cake and singing Happy Birthday for JP's impending Birthday.

Sniggers and Guffaws

Sniggers and Guffaws Originally uploaded by EclipseAu Well, it finally started raining again in the south east today. Which is excellent, but makes the floor of the subway to the train station very wet. As I entered the wet subway yesterday arvo my feet decided that I was a gymnast and commenced to show everyone that I can do the splits. I succeded is a three quarter split followed by a new move to be known as the "Smythville wrench and smash". As my legs flew out I twisted my leg almost out of the hip socket while smashing my knee into the ground with force. It was a crowded subway, and everyone kept walking past sniggering an guffawing but not offering help or sympathy. To them I say, Karma is a bitch.

So far this week ....

Not a lot happening at the 'ville this week. It was back to work for me this week, which I actually enjoyed (should I be seeing a doctor), vacation care for the girls and situation normal for NP. Tuesday CB went to the movies with vacation care to see "BOLT" and today JP is going al day skating. She loves it. Still unsure of what we are doing for Australia Day yet, prolly mosey on out to the Aussie Day festival at Wivenhoe Dam. We went last year and it was crack'a'lackin. Just remember, for those of you thinking of heading out there as well, it's a country festival so the music will be...... Who said Pink... It's not Pink you silly sausage Country music. (Brendan Walmsley to be exact)

Kids Games or P0RN

LOL. You have to laugh or you'd rip someone's head off. As I got in the car yesterday, I could see that there was something wrong with JP, as she usually doesn't wear a blanket over her head to greet me. I asked he what was wrong and I was told "I'm not speaking". To cut a long story short, NP informed my that JP had one of her friends over today and while they were playing on the net (fashion girls dress ups an makeup) she clicked on one of the games which happened to be an Anime (Japanese style cartoon) hide the sausage game. The object of the game was to use the arrow keys to slide the sausage in an out of the sausage hider to give her an orgasm. The faster you get her there the more points. I don't know why the website would have these types of games in amongst the dress up girls and makeup girls. Another scary thing is that while the game loaded, pictures of Barbie and Spongebob Squarepants were loaded on the screens. Clearly aimed at luring young kid...

First Day Back

Well, today is the day. The first day back at work after a 5 weeks off with the kids. You couldn't really call it a holiday though as we didn't go away anywhere. Surprisingly, I am actually not apprehensive about the return to work as the break was sufficiently long enough to clear my head of all the troubles and happenings of the past year. That and I enjoy the work I do, in the main.

A day trip to O'Reilly's

A quick View on the way up the range Originally uploaded by EclipseAu We decided to go on a day trip today. First stop was Food Fantasy at Jupiters for brunch. Then the long and winding drive up the mountain to O'Reillys Plateau. There is some really breathtaking views on the way up. We started out with a little bird feeding. Then a walk through the rainforest to the tree top walk . The girls and I climbed all the way to the top platform (30m above the ground). Then a walk back through the rainforest to the car to start the long journey home. We took a nice journey home via Canungra, Beaudesert and Boonah.

Apple Introduces Revolutionary New Laptop With No Keyboard

This is funny. The last 20 seconds is the kicker.  This has to be a take off. Yum ! Homemade Pizza.

Yum ! Homemade Pizza. Originally uploaded by EclipseAu JP and CB got the recipe for these pizzas from their cousin (SML). However JP's translation of the quantities of dough used was a bit off. She basically quadrupled the amount. The resulting pizzas were huge. The bases were Deep deep deep deep pan. Damper pizzas. Good learning though for next time.

Smythville go to Redcliffe

Smythville go to Redcliffe Originally uploaded by EclipseAu We met up with the Lavery House at Redcliffe on New Years Day. After a scenic trip through Mt Glorious and Samford we headed over to the Redcliffe Jetty to meet up with the Lavery House. When we got there SML was fishing ( he was really only teaching some baby squid to swim ).. After a yummy chip sandwich for lunch we headed down to the beach for a dip. The girls had fun on the boogie boards.
