Redcliffe Kitefest 2009

Redcliffe Kitefest 2009 Originally uploaded by EclipseAu Today we went down to Redcliffe to see Kitefest. It was being held at Pelican Park in Clontarf. The way Kite Nazi went off you would think she thought she and the other Kite Flyers were pilots, the exclusion zone was an Airport and anyone entering it was a terrorist. I need a fake press badge, I think. After leaving Kitefest, we headed up the Esplanade to Margate for some lunch by the sea at a fish and chip shop.

Chauffer Driven Movie Stars

On our way to the Redcliffe for the Kitefest 2009. The movie stars in the back were feeling a bit tired so they had a nap. I couldn't resist the urge to share this pic.

Poor little Sick Chick

Poor JP, she has been home sick since last week. Well sort of, she came to work with me on Friday into the carer's room, was off Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, sent home from school yesterday and is sick in bed at home again today. Get well soon little one.

Mother's Day

[caption id="attachment_1039" align="alignleft" width="428" caption="My Love"] [/caption] Today is Mother's Day here in Australia. The girls woke Mum up this morning with their gifts, CB gave her the DVD movie "Marley and Me" and JP gave her a ring, she picked out at DIVA, enclosed in a ring box she made with a photo of mum and the two girls on the lid. After this we headed off to Fernvale to the "Old Fernvale Bakery" for breakfast.  If you are ever in Fernvale, I suggest you do yourself a favour and stap in here for a meal. After breakfast we headed over to the Fernvale Markets before heading home for lunch. In the afternoon, we went over to Mum's place to catch up with her for Mother's Day.

Turkish 4 Tea = Yummmm

After the movies, we went out 4 tea to the Turkish Restaurant " Adana " in Ipswich at D'arcy Doyle Place. NP and I both had the "Kremali Tavuk Gogsu" (Chicken Breast in Creamy Mushroom sauce). WoW. How yummy was it. A little on the pricey side but very tasty.

A Geeky trip 2 the Movies

NP surprised me by asking if we wanted to go to the movies to see Star Trek. After I awoke, in the recovery position, I immediately book the tickets online. It was a gr8 movie. Would have preferred for them to explain a bit about the Federation and Star Fleet. But that could be another prequel.

Buddha Birth Day Festival

We went to the Buddah Birth Day Festival at Southbank today. We have been waiting for this for two years as we missed last years. We had some really nice fresh spring rolls at the last festival and were keen to find them againg today.  Mission Completed - we found them.  Very Yummy To see more pics of the event click    >> HERE <<
