CB's 6th Birthday Party

CB's 6th Birthday Party Originally uploaded by EclipseAu On Sunday 28th June we had some of CB's friends over for a birthday party. As you can see from the pic here, we hired a Jumping Castle for the party. They had heaps of fun in it. We hardly heard a peep out of them for the whole party.

5k's for Kids

5k's for Kids Originally uploaded by Pete Smyth - EclipseAu On a very rainy Sunday, 21st June, we headed down to Southbank to take part in the Mater Hospital's annual fundraising 5k's for Kids walk with a friend and her kids. Before the walk, the girls got to meet Bugs Bunny, Sylvester and Ronald McDonald. JP was still sick with Bronchitis and I was coming down with it as well, so needless to say that after the walk started we only got about 500m in the torrential downpour before packing it in and going home. They already had our money anyway.

Saturday Picnic at Kholo Botanical Gardens

Saturday Picnic at Kholo Botanical Gardens Originally uploaded by EclipseAu We organised a picnic at Kholo Gardens between us and some family friends (the B's, the T's and the S's). We were a bit worried at first, because of the weather, that we may get rained out. Well we didn't get rained out but there was a bit of light precipitation at times throughout the arvo. The Guys and CB, and JP for a little while, had a few games (Cricket, French Cricket, Frisbee and dodgeball) while the ladies sat down and had a catch up chat. As usual, NP excelled herself in the catering department and a good day was had by all.

Spanner Weather in Ipswich

Crikey it's cold this morning. I just checked the amberley monitoring station which said that it is currently -1.3 decrees celcius at the moment. Brrrrrr

All's quiet in the western front

Hahaha, western front, I crack me up. (Note: for those of you a little short on my sense of humour, I'll spell it out for you, western front = Ipswich (in the west)), anyway. Well, it has been a quiet couple of week for us. The major thing happening for us over the last three weeks is poor JP being sick with Bronchitis. Coughing so much that she was vomiting from it. In the middle of this we had the big storm that left Ipswich with some flooding again. No damage at our place though.
