I & C's Naming Ceremony

Well I was as nervous as Hector Pascals this morning,as I had offered my services to K & N to take some photos for them at the girls Naming Ceremony.  All my worries were unfounded, and I just put it down to a bit of the jitters.  The photos turned out well I think. It was a beautiful day, even with the looming threat of another dust storm. After the ceremony we all hung around for the Sausage sizzle and a chat before heading home. If you're interested you can view the photos here or watch the Slideshow here

Our Afternoon at Queens Park

My Beautiful Wife , originally uploaded by EclipseAu . This afternoon we toddled off to Queens Park for Lunch. Diner Beware, the kiosk has moved into new premises and while it is very nice and new, the price now reflects the cost of moving into the new place. After lunch, we headed off to have a sticky at the animal enclosure before going down to the playground with the girls, who had a play on the flying fox and swings and spinning toys. After an afternoon packed with fun we headed home, via 7-eleven for a slushie.

Dust Storm in South East Queensland

Dust Storm in South East Queensland , originally uploaded by EclipseAu . When we woke up this morning, Sunrise was showing pictures of Sydney in the middle of a dust storm blown in from South Australia and the Northern Territory. By 9:30am the dust started appearing and then by 11am it looked like this. Apparently this is not the same dust cloud that Sydney got hit with, this one was blown in from western Queensland (Charleville). Will put up more shots later, to show it clearing.

Well we had a ball and so did JP. The first dance of the day was the Waltz. JP and her partner TH were selected to dance in the semi final and then the grand final. Way to go JP and TH. Unluckily they didn't place but danced up a storm and really enjoyed themselves. The second dance of the day was the Mambo. Again, JP and her partner TH were selected to dance in the semi final and then the grand final. Unluckily again they didn't place. Last event of the day was the school challenge. JP's school did...

Poor little Chicky

We were in the yard yesterday afternoon playing a bit of frisbee and catch. CB as usual ended up on the ground a few times. We had finished playing and had been upstairs for a good 10 - 15 minutes when CB can out of JP's room crying, saying that the necklace she had in had hurt her neck and was burning. She did the usual fix and went to the freezer and got the Ice pack. 5 minutes later she came bursting out of JP's room again crying her poor little eyes out, saying that the neclace had got her again "lots". Well, looking at her neck she had about 7 bite marks on her neck. After a bit of searching (and hysterical screaming) we found the culprit. A nasty big GREEN ANT Poor little chick, I felt soooo bad for her.
