We decided that we wanted to get out with the family to do some more camping, and realised that the poor ol' Tiida just wouldn't do it for us So we said bye bye to Casper And Hello to Rocky the Great Wall X240. The Girls decided to call it Rocky because it being a 4WD it can go over rocks and stuff.

Father's Day Outing to Fernvale.

Father's day again today, an we had the pleasure of Grandad and Annie's company. We thought a nice meal at the Old Fernvale Bakery would be the way to celebrate the day. After our meal we took a wet stroll down the road to an Craft Gallery / Antiques / Tea Rooms just down the side road near the Bakery.  We listened to an old wax phonograph from 1904. It was amazing, the owner told us that in 1904 that Phonograph cost approximately 50 weeks wages.

Zorro Helps Springclean

On her second day of holidays, Mum decided to do a spot of spring cleaning, and Zorro decided that she needed his opinion on where thing should be put. Or more than likely, if you know of his voracious insatiable appetite, he was hoping to get some nibblies.

Blog Milestones

12days ago, on the 1st of August "Smythville" the blog has been in production for 2 years now. 2 years and 300 posts (308 if you count this one and the updates I finished last night). I went back to the beginning and read all the posts just to remind myself what we have been up to over the last couple of years. It was interesting to see the changes in the girls in that time.

The Earth still takes my breath away !!!

Family Picnic (July 2010) Kholo Gardens

We organised to have a family barbecue at Kholo Gardens At Kholo Gardens they have a man made waterfall which the kids love to play in. Here is CB, JP and DML playing around the pond at the top of the waterfall and here SML is trying to dam the waterfall... needless to say, when there are kids playing around water eventually one of them is going to get wet. the girls made firm friends with a couple of canines they wanted to buy one, but at $600 it was a bit much for my wallet.  The father is a Labrador and the Mother is a Maremma. Aunty A, Steven and CB had a game of Twister Scram and the spinner didn't want to work so Nanna's finger ended up being the spinner. GREEN.... The next barbecue is scheduled for the end of August
