The Girls made the Aussie Day Gallery on Brisbane Times

The Girls made the Aussie Day Gallery on Brisbane Times , originally uploaded by EclipseAu . When we were at government house for Australia Day the girls had their picture taken by a reporter for the Brisbane Times. Below is the pic of them on the website and you can go to the link here --->>> www.brisbanetimes.com.au/photogallery/queensland/australi...

Our Australia Day

We started our day off with a trip to Queensland's Government House . This photo of the girls attracted a writer from the brisbanetimes.com.au who wanted a pic of the girls in all their patriotic finery. This is a pic of  the house CB listening to the Army band on the lawn at Government house.... and JP being her cheerful self under a poinciana tree on the grounds... This is a cheeky pic of our cheeky little monkey.... By the time i was taking these pics JP had had quite enough as there wasn't much for the kids to do..... After Government House we took a trip across Brisbane to Bulimba for lunch to an awesome hamburger joint called Grill'd. Where we played up a little bit.... before getting all cute..... Then the playing up caught on across the table..... before a CB kiss sandwich eventuated.

Awesome parking

I just had to snap a pic of this car we saw at Cameron Park in Ipswich on Australia Day. This person must have a four wheel drive as their other car.

Sunday Arvo at the Quarry Reserve

This afternoon we took Miley up to the Haig Street Quarry for a bit of a run around. She's still not too fond of the water, but we are going to work on that. The Girls found a bucket and tried catching guppies with it with limited success. They tried for 15 minute using their hands......   Nothing !!! JP gave up but CB soldiered on......  Still,  only one guppy caught. Miley was having a good look, but wouldn't go in. Until she accidentally fell in,  Not happy Jan !!! Then we went over to the new playground for a little while for the girls to have a play. Where CB got on the rope bridge..... and JP got on the Digger. She said she would prefer it digging in sand though. Then CB got on the flying fox for a ride.... Then went over to the cafe to serve us some afternoon tea... That'll be $7.50 thanks..... while CB was serving JP was playing on the swings.... then had a cuddle with Miley.  ...

New Hobby

JP has a new hobby. She no longer wants to be a Photographer / Artist when she grows up. She now wants to be a dessert chef. These are her creations for today.

A Sojourn @ Night

Tonight HM (short for Hot Momma) shuffled us all out the door, Miley included, to go for a walk. We trundled down the new bikeway, but CB kept falling off her bike. To cheer her up a bit we stopped off at Maccas on the way home where we bought the girls an Ice cream. It worked, although you wouldn't know it from this photo

A Special Visit

We had a big surprise this week.  Aunty C and my little sis came for a visit all the way from Rockhampton.  It has been 4 years since we have seen them and it was awesome to catch up again. They got to meet the Danger man then we went for a tour of Nerima Gardens (Japanese Gardens in Queens Park) where NT had one of the girls attached to her at the hip at all times. After the gardens we took a quick tour of the nature centre where we saw Wallabies .... some brush tailed rock wallabies.... a very lazy goanna.... and a couple of frisky goannas.

Day trip to Cooby Dam

Today we took a family trip to Toowoomba First stop was lunch at sSs Steakhouse. NP and I shared a chicken burger. It was YUM. Next stop ended up being Cooby Dam just outside of Highfields We then drove down to the picnic area, it was a picturesque setting and very quiet... and we found this Kooka watching our every move.... There was a great playground here for the kids... including these slippery slides and the climbing frame in the background .... as well as this flying fox..... I thought at least one of them would end up in the mud. on the way back we stopped at the wall again to walk across it, just as we got all the way across it started to Rain and we got wet again.

Smythville at Curtis Falls

Every New Years Day we go for a drive somwhere in the Great South East. Today's destination was Mount Tamborine. I wanted to get some decent Pics, but alas, the weather saw to it that my camera stayed put in the camera bag. There was a brief lull in the rain that allowed me to snatch this pic. Just after this picture it really pissed down and we got soaked to the skin. One other highlight of the trip was Mumma getting a leach on her.

NYE 2009 Celebrations Ipswich

We went out to Timothy Maloney Park for the Ipswich City Council's New Year's Eve Party. This is a photo of some of the fireworks that lit up the Sky. And some more fireworks.... A little while into the procedings , as usual, JP and CB had a barney and JP got the Sh1t$. This is a photo of her dealing with her mood. After the movie "Horton Hears a Who", "Platinum Express" started playing some rockin' tunes This is a pic of  Mum and CB when they got up to boogie while JP sat under her blanket. This is Platinum Express's Lead Guitarist.  He really got into it. This is Platinum Express's Lead Vocalist.
