Jessica Watson in Brissie

Just as she did in Sydney, Jessica Watson kept the thousands of people crowded into the Queen Street Mall waiting. She was just over 20 minutes late, but when she got there the crowd went wild for the NOW 17 year old girl who is youngest person ever to sail solo, non-stop and unassisted around the world. Every person and their dogs were there to celebrate her feat with her. People were taking pictures of her with everything from professional Digital SLR's to the humble iPhone. As I was looking around the crowd I locked eyes on this very patriotic bloke who had come to support Jess, I just had to snap a pic of him.

CB outside the Bilby enclosure.

CB outside the Bilby enclosure. , originally uploaded by EclipseAu . CB had the day off with me (flex day) because she was (cough, cough) sick. I think it was more likely she was just a bit tired and wanted a day off school. But who am I to judge. I'm not a doctor. So here is a pic of her in all of her sickness glory outside the bilby enclosure at the local park.

A trip to Wivenhoe

Today we organised a BBQ with some friends at Wivenhoe. We took our own bbq and gazebo so we didn't have to fight for the public ones... After lunch we played a bit of Cricket with K. She went mad at me for getting her Butt in the photo. Played some Kick around with K and D... Here's a pic of K, D and DML having a rest. Sorry for the old folk language boys. Here's a snap of the Boyz from da hood Chillin' with their peeps... And a pic of K... Hot Mamma went for a stroll down to the water's edge to feed the fishies.. Before the girls joined her.... DML is a photographer a heart and sat in the Trailer taking photos.... Then I took CB and DML for a walk to take some photos, CB took this one of me... And I took this one of her... JP had fun on the pink machine... And at the end of the day a quick push of the trailer....

Saturday Arvo Informal Portrait Session

This afternoon I wanted to try out some photographic techniques I have been reading up on. What do you think ???

Our Annual Pilgrimage to the Buddha Birth Day Festival

Every year we usually head off down to Southbank for the Buddha Birth Day Festival. The girls love going to the festival because of all the craft and fun demonstrations they get to do. Like in this pic of the girls making what they lovingly refer to as a DUDE. After another crafty hat making demonstration (you can see the fruit of CB's labour in this photo), the girls tried their hand at using the diablo. NP wanted to go to try the Buddhist Meditation class, so I took the girls for a walk around Southbank. This is photo of JP during our walk when she was playing with the pointer finger.

A GOOEY day

Today we made some goo. All you need is a box of cornflour, water and food colouring. We had a great time playing with the goo. Even Nanna thought it was cool
