Rhys is finally with us

After an exhausting 3+ days and an emergency Caesarian, young RDJ is now in the big wide world with us.

Born at 3:32 am on Sunday 29th March 2009 weighing 3.5kg (or 7lb 7oz in the old measurement).

Both mum and baby are well if not tired.

The family tradition of a baby born in the 9th year of every decade has been upheld:

1919 - Pop
1929 - Bad family didn't have a baby
1939 - Bad family didn't have a baby
1949 - Mum
1959 - Mariane
1969 - Me
1979 - Angela
1989 - Bad family didn't have a baby
1999 - Jordy
2009 - Rhys

    Dont forget the new one. You were 13 when Liv was born, Liv was 13 when Steve was born and Steve is 13 when Rhys was born.

First Day Back

Well, today is the day. The first day back at work after a 5 weeks off with the kids. You couldn't really call it a holiday though as we didn't go away anywhere. Surprisingly, I am actually not apprehensive about the return to work as the break was sufficiently long enough to clear my head of all the troubles and happenings of the past year. That and I enjoy the work I do, in the main.
