Jessica Watson in Brissie

Just as she did in Sydney, Jessica Watson kept the thousands of people crowded into the Queen Street Mall waiting. She was just over 20 minutes late, but when she got there the crowd went wild for the NOW 17 year old girl who is youngest person ever to sail solo, non-stop and unassisted around the world.

Every person and their dogs were there to celebrate her feat with her. People were taking pictures of her with everything from professional Digital SLR's to the humble iPhone.

As I was looking around the crowd I locked eyes on this very patriotic bloke who had come to support Jess, I just had to snap a pic of him.

First Day Back

Well, today is the day. The first day back at work after a 5 weeks off with the kids. You couldn't really call it a holiday though as we didn't go away anywhere. Surprisingly, I am actually not apprehensive about the return to work as the break was sufficiently long enough to clear my head of all the troubles and happenings of the past year. That and I enjoy the work I do, in the main.
