Our Annual Pilgrimage to the Buddha Birth Day Festival

Every year we usually head off down to Southbank for the Buddha Birth Day Festival.

Chinese Lantern

The girls love going to the festival because of all the craft and fun demonstrations they get to do. Like in this pic of the girls making what they lovingly refer to as a DUDE.

After another crafty hat making demonstration (you can see the fruit of CB's labour in this photo), the girls tried their hand at using the diablo.

My Little Chinese Princess

NP wanted to go to try the Buddhist Meditation class, so I took the girls for a walk around Southbank. This is photo of JP during our walk when she was playing with the pointer finger.

First Day Back

Well, today is the day. The first day back at work after a 5 weeks off with the kids. You couldn't really call it a holiday though as we didn't go away anywhere. Surprisingly, I am actually not apprehensive about the return to work as the break was sufficiently long enough to clear my head of all the troubles and happenings of the past year. That and I enjoy the work I do, in the main.
