Back to School

Back to School
Originally uploaded by EclipseAu

We have just dropped the kids off at school. It was bedlam as usual but the girls seemed to be in high spirits.

The day started off in the usual way, having to tell the girls multiple times to do all they needed to do.

For the life of us we can't see to keep them focussed on the task at hand. I'm sure we must speak a foreign language sometimes....

Some translations from the Smythville house:
Eat your breakfast = go downstairs an terrorise the cat.
Brush your hair = turn the telly on and ignore us
Get dressed = find a toy and play with it then try and sneak it to school in my bag without Mum/Dad's knowledge.
Have a shower = lock the cat in the toilet with me so I can terrorise him with no chance of escape.

The list is endless and I could go on but for everyone's sanity I'll stop here.

Have fun!

First Day Back

Well, today is the day. The first day back at work after a 5 weeks off with the kids. You couldn't really call it a holiday though as we didn't go away anywhere. Surprisingly, I am actually not apprehensive about the return to work as the break was sufficiently long enough to clear my head of all the troubles and happenings of the past year. That and I enjoy the work I do, in the main.
